Heart, Richmond Virginia, October 1978

Heart (Ann and Nancy Wilson) at the Richmond Coliseum, October 1978.  The last shot in this series was exposure #38 on a 36-shot roll...  a photographer can't get any luckier than I did that day.

Footnote:  In June 2004 that shot was used in the liner notes of Heart's reissued Bebe le Strange album, with photo credit to Robert Bibee.  Oh, well.

Elton John, Washington DC, July 1976

Elton John at the Capitol Center, Washington DC, July 1976.  I was seated behind the stage and didn't expect to get any good shots, but Elton gave a 360-degree performance and everyone saw a great show.

Melissa Manchester, Atlanta Georgia, July 1980

At Chastain Park, a great outdoor venue.  Unless it rains.  Or you want to actually hear the music over the picnic-ers who are talking.

Daryl Hall and John Oates, Charlottesville Virginia, December 1978

Henry Gross, Charlottesville Virginia, April 1976

You may not know his name, but he had some great songs with soaring '70s harmonies.

Barry Manilow, Richmond Virginia, October 1975

At the Mosque theater.  Barry's solo career had just skyrocketed with the release of his second and third albums.

Linda Ronstadt, Charlottesville Virginia, February 1975

Linda's band included Andrew Gold (guitarist in the third photo), who had a number of solo hits.

Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina, Charlottesville Virginia, November 1974
